Rafael Duque

Rafael is a Year 12 student and scholarship receiver at the British School of Bucharest. He prides himself in his diverse interests in subjects such as History, Biology and Chemistry, whilst also having received awards for Art and German in previous years. Rafael enjoys dedicating himself to learning skills in many areas as possible and participates in Model United Nations internationally and in school. His hobbies include politics, journalism and photography and he is always looking for more things to learn and new people to meet.

Luca Doru

Luca is a student who is involved with charity work (Olimpiada Inocentilor) and has had the privilege to witness large scale businesses and operations being administrated. Luca is eager to bring those ideas to nowYouth, hopefully developing them into full-fledged skills that will help him and others. With further experience in leadership gained through sports, he can lead and inspire people creating a more tightly knit and prosperous community. His vast array of passions and interests (ranging from team sports like basketball to fine art or progressive rock) helps him resonate with a large variety of people and allows him to bring a unique set of skills where needed.

Tamina Boss

Tamina is a volunteer who is committed to helping the community, has volunteered in yearly trips for the Fundatia Inocentii Childrens Relief Charity, and is an active member of the schools charity club. She has a love for technology and UX/UI and has had her designs featured and incorporated at Stanford University in the ME310 2020 Design Thinking project, which has shown her skills of organisation, initiative, and innovation. Due to having the opportunity to live in so many different countries, she has a curiosity about the world and open-mindedness to people.

George Popovici

George is volunteer in the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the “Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History, and also a member of his school’s senior debating team. He has published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal and has been honoured with several awards at international debating competitions. He enjoys reading, porcelain, and opera.
